Manipur Covid-19 cases rise to 9

Imphal, May 19 (EMN):
Two more persons have tested positive for Covid-19 in Manipur amid reports of stranded people returning from other states.

With this, Manipur has reported a total of nine positive cases till date. Of those, two cases have fully recovered while seven active cases are under treatment.

Manipur’s additional director of Health department Dr. Kh Sasheekumar Mangang issued a press release in this regard on Tuesday.

He informed that a woman (aged 64) and her daughter (aged 23) were tested at VRDL, RIMS and found positive for Covid-19.

Informing that the duo had left Delhi on May 14, and reached Imphal on May 16, Mangang added that all necessary precautionary measures have been taken up.
