Imphal, July 3 (EMN): Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh, Ministers and MLAs, representatives of local bodies attended the 6th Phase ‘Go To Village’ (GTV) camp organised by the district administrations at their respective areas on Tuesday.
Chief Minister N Biren attends GTV at Heingang and Yurembam villages in Imphal East and Imphal West districts.
Addressing the GTV meet at Heingang, Biren said that the government has received as many as 3.50 lakh complaints in the GTV camps so far and the government has managed to address about 3 complains.
Manipur Social Welfare and Cooperation Minister Nemcha Kipgen attended the GTV camp at the Gopibung Government UJB School, Gopibung Village under the Champhai Sub Division, Kangpokpi District.
She distributed deliverables to beneficiaries benefitted under various governmental schemes. Around 15 stalls of various government departments were opened to ensure government schemes and benefit reaches at the doorsteps of the villagers. Aadhaar seeding, birth certificate, pension schemes, free medical camp, voter enrolments were some of the services provided at the stalls.
Addressing the mass gatherings, Minister Nemcha stated that the Go to Village mission is in line with the vision of the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi – ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas’ that aims for inclusive development for all, even to those residing in the farthest corner. So far, many villagers from far-flung areas have availed various governmental schemes through this effort of the government, she asserted. Nemcha further appeal the officials to serve the masses without discriminating any deserving beneficiaries.
During the visit, Minister Nemcha along with the Sub-Divisional Officer/Block Development Officer Champhai, Chunglenmang and the officials inspected stalls of various departments set up at the camp and interacted with the villagers and enquire about their concerns and grievances faced by them and assured assistance from her end. MLA Dr S Ranjan also attended GTV camp at Yurembam in Imphal West district.
Covering seven villages under Chandel sub-division, the district administration, Chandel conducted also the 6th phase of and Go to Village and mission camp successfully at Chandel Christian village community hall on Tuesday.
The villages are Chandel Christian, Modi, Beru Angthi, Beru Mollabung, Bornidam, Chandel Khubul and Chandel Khullen. A total of 25 departmental stalls were set up at the camp to attend to the queries of the villagers. Various benefits under Government schemes were distributed by the department of Agriculture, Horticulture, CMHT (Chief Minister-gi Hakshelgi Tengbang), Education, MSPDCL, Forest etc. Twelve free LPG connections were also distributed to selected beneficiaries.
