Manipur clinch 9th ISKF karate championship title

DIMAPUR — The 9th ISKF National Karate Championship was held at Logdrum Higher Secondary School, Sangtamtilla village, Dimapur, from April 25 to the 28th.

A total of 487 participants from 11 states and units took part in the championship, which was hosted by the All Nagaland Karate-Do Association (ANKA), according to an update from All Nagaland Karate-Do Association (ANKA).

The team championship was clinched by Manipur with 78 gold, 49 silver and 49 bronze medals, while Nagaland with 16 gold, 16 silver and 8 bronze medals secured second place.

The third position was shared by Arunachal Pradesh with 9 gold, 1 silver and 6 bronze medals, and Tripura with 8 gold, 14 silver and 15 bronze medals.

Deputy Commissioner of Dimapur, Dr. Tinojungshi Chang, was the special guest of the opening ceremony held on April 26.
