- IMPHAL — The
Council of Higher Secondary Education Manipur (COHSEM) on Friday declared the
results of class 12 examination 2025.
- Out of 28,909 students who appeared for the exam, 27,175
students passed, including 14,522 in the first division,10,905 in second and
1723 in the third division.
- Girl students outshone boys both in government and
non-government higher secondary schools. The pass percentages were 89.95% for
government schools and 95.66% for non-government schools.
- This year's overall pass percentage across all streams is
94%. Pherzawl and Tengnoupal districts achieved a perfect 100% pass rate, while
Thoubal district followed closely with 98.88%. Jiribam district had the lowest
pass percentage at 77.01%. In 2024, the overall pass percentage was 97.63.

- In the Science stream, Riya Khwairakpam from Comet School in
Imphal secured the top spot with 490 marks. She was followed by Mediciana
Moirangthem of Herbert School with 483 marks in second place, and Silvia Lukram
of Comet School with 479 marks in third place.
- In the Arts stream, Keisham Hannah Devi from Enlighten
Knowledge Higher Secondary School emerged as the topper with 479 marks. She was
followed closely by Harsh Maidnam with 476 marks and Sagolsem Inunganbi with
473 marks, both from the same school.
- In the Commerce stream, Warepam Lidia Devi from TG Higher
Secondary School secured the top spot with 463 marks. Yaiphabi Sapam and Devia
Mayengbam, also from TG Higher Secondary School, secured second and third
positions with 434 and 427 marks, respectively.
- Congratulating the successful candidates and position
holders during the result declaration, Secretary of Education (Schools) N
Praveen Singh appreciated the efforts of the teachers and officials for smooth
conduct of the examination.
- “This year’s pass
percentage was little lesser comparing with the previous year,” said COHSEM
chairman T Ojit Singh. The pass percentage in Arts stream was 90.12 percent,
Science 95.45 percent and Commerce 92.06 percent.
