Imphal, May 18 (EMN): The Board of Secondary Education, Manipur (BSEM) on Saturday declared the High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) results.
Candidates can obtain the results from the official website of BSEM- manresults.nic.in. Or www.bosem.in, www.manipureducation.gov.in.
More than 74% students – the highest in the history of BSEM since 1973 – cleared the HSLC examination.
A total of 37,138 students, including 18,342 boys and 18,796 girls appeared the examination. Out of which 13,882 boys and 13,858 girls got through.
The BSEM conducted the class 10 examination from February 20 to March 15 at 139 board centres.
Bhumika Sh of Pitambara English School, Imphal, emerged as a BOSEM topper with 570 out of 600 marks, followed by Sophia Asem of Brighter Career Academy, Thiyam Leishangkhong and Arvind Maibam of Tiny Tots’ Unique, Imphal in the second position with 567 marks each and M Julendia Devi of St Thomas School, Kontha Ahallup in the third merit list with 566 marks each.
The pass percentage of private schools is 82.30 and that of aided schools at 62.07. However, in the government schools, only 53.77 per cent students passed the examination this year.
