Tzurangkong and Japukong Senso Senden oppose the ultimatum demanding Minister Temjen Imna Along’s resignation over the Mokokchung hall.
DIMAPUR — The Tzurangkong Senso Senden (TSS) and Japukong Senso Senden (JSS) have strongly opposed the ultimatum issued by civil society organisations in Mangkolemba on October 3, demanding the resignation of Minister Temjen Imna Along over issues surrounding the construction of the Multipurpose Hall, Mangkolemba, Mokokchung district.
In separate press releases, the two organisations termed the demand unwarranted and uncalled for, arguing that matters concerning public infrastructure and community welfare should be addressed through constructive dialogue and practical suggestions rather than ultimatums.
The TSS expressed confidence in Along’s leadership, stating that voters of the Alongtaki Assembly Constituency had repeatedly elected him based on their faith in his ability to bring prosperity and development to the area.
It added that public trust and support for the minister continued to persist among citizens and civil society organisations in the constituency.
The TSS also questioned the propriety of voters outside the Alongtaki Assembly Constituency issuing ultimatums demanding the minister’s resignation.

It described such demands, in the absence of any lawful basis, as potentially driven by political considerations, personal interests and a confrontational approach.
Similarly, the JSS, following its meeting on October 7, resolved to strongly condemn and oppose the ultimatum issued by the Mangkolemba civil society organisations.
It maintained that arbitrary demands neither served the public interest nor contributed to finding practical and long-term solutions to existing challenges.
Both organisations emphasised that lasting solutions could be achieved only through cooperation, collective responsibility and constructive engagement among stakeholders.
The JSS called on all concerned parties to approach the matter with an open mind and a genuine commitment to finding a viable solution in the larger interest of the community.
The TSS, meanwhile, appealed to all stakeholders to rise above political considerations and personal interests and work together in a spirit of unity, understanding and shared purpose.
It reiterated its confidence in the minister’s leadership and called for a peaceful and responsible approach to resolving the issue.
