Mangkolemba declared malaria-free model village

Dimapur, June 6 (EMN): The director of Health & Family Welfare, Dr. Vikiyie Losu, on June 6 declared Mangkolemba town as malaria free model village. The programme was part of the National Vector Borne Deficiency Control Programme (NVBDCP). An update on Wednesday informed. The declaration programme was held at Mangkolemba town hall in Mokokchung. Dr. Losu highlighted the aim and objectives of malaria elimination programme in the country by 2030. He also shared preventive measures undertaken by the government such as long lasting insecticidal nets and indoor residual spray. Dr. Losu urged the stakeholders to join hands with the department for the success of the programme. He also called on the community to be a role model to other district in the state.
