An unidentified man aged approx 35 died at District Hospital Dimapur on December 10 after falling from a running train. GRPS seeks identification.

DIMAPUR — Dimapur Police has informed that an unidentified male, aged approximately 35, succumbed to injuries at District Hospital Dimapur (DHD) on Wednesday.
According to the deputy commissioner of police (Crime)/PRO, Dimapur, a written memo was received from the Station Manager of NF Railway Dimapur on December 9, stating that one non-Naga male was found lying at Dimapur Railway Platform No. 3.
On receipt of the information, the personnel on duty conducted an inquest and determined that a passenger from Train No. 75602 Lumding Express fell down from a running train, causing serious head and leg injuries.
No identity card or relevant documents were recovered from his possession. Police suspect the person was a vagrant or homeless individual travelling without a proper ticket.

The injured person was evacuated to DHD for medical treatment but succumbed to his injuries on Wednesday. On completion of legal formalities, the body was shifted to the DHD morgue for post-mortem examination and identification.
The deceased is described as dark in complexion, wearing long black pants, light blue half pants (innerwear), a white t-shirt, a black jacket, and no footwear. He had a black mole on the stomach near the navel.
