Man reportedly stabs himself in Dimapur

Staff Reporter Dimapur, Oct. 3 (EMN): In a bizarre incident, a man was taken to hospital by Dimapur police after officers on duty found the man reportedly stabbing himself at one of the busiest inter-district bus terminals in Dimapur The incident happened on Tue. Oct.3, 2017 at Blue Hill station in Golaghat road around 1:30 PM. As per police report, the man has been identified as Lato Yimchunger, aged 31 and a resident of Chumukedima. The man was taken to the hospital with a kitchen knife fixed on his chest. As per the statement of the man, the police said it was self-inflicted in an ‘attempted suicide’ because of ‘personal tension’. The man was taken to district hospital Dimapur and has been shifted to a private hospital in Dimapur, said the police.
