A 31-year-old man was found dead along Thizama Road in Kohima, with police registering an unnatural death case and launching an investigation.

KOHIMA — A 31-year-old man was found dead on April 16 evening along Thizama Road, below the Nagaland Legislative Assembly (NLA) in Kohima.
According to police sources, the body was discovered between 7.30 pm and 8 pm.
On receiving information, a team from North Police Station (PS) rushed to the spot, while a Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) team was also requisitioned.

Police later identified the deceased as Binlemba Chang, a resident of Konya village in Tuensang district, who was employed as a driver in the Fisheries and Aquatic Resources department and residing at Thizama.
A preliminary examination of the scene was conducted, and no foul play has been suspected so far, police said.
The body was taken to the Naga Hospital Authority Kohima (NHAK) morgue for post-mortem and later handed over to the family, who took it to Tuensang for the last rites.
Police have registered a case of unnatural death at North PS, Kohima, and further investigation is underway.
