During the argument, the customer allegedly slapped one of the attendants, following which four staff members reportedly assaulted him. He sustained bruises on his face.

According to reports, the attempt took place around 2 am and came to light at about 8 am after service providers informed authorities. The unidentified individual reportedly sprayed black paint on the closed circuit television (CCTV) cameras and cut wires in an apparent bid to disable the surveillance system.
However, no damage was caused to the ATM machine, and transactions were carried out as usual during the day. CCTV footage reportedly showed a helmeted motorbike-borne man entering the booth before the feed went blank.
