Authorities have arrested a person from Karbi Anglong after enforcement personnel found a large cache of explosives and associated materials from him on Monday, February 29 at the Dimapur railways station.
On February 29, a combined team of the Dimapur police, government railways police and the RPF carried out routine checking at the Dimapur Railway Platform. They found 280 gelatin sticks, 400 detonators, and 20 rolls (35 feet approximately) of fuse wire, the authorities said.
In this connection, a person identified as Soloman Hmar of Karbi Anglong in Assam has been arrested.
A case under the Explosive Act has been registered for further investigation.
