KOHIMA — Nagaland police have arrested a man in connection with the murder of the 22-year-old Vihozhonu Zao, who was found dead in Kohima on October 25.
The accused is said to be known to the victim, according to reliable sources.
More information is awaited from the Police, who said details on the matter would be shared later.
The arrest was made less than 12 days after the body of the young basketball player was found.
Kohima Police have registered an FIR in connection with the mysterious death of the 22-year-old woman whose body was found near her residence in Kohima on the morning of October 25.

A Special Investigation Team (SIT) has been constituted to probe the case.
Vihozhonu Zao, a recent graduate and a basketball player, had gone out to play in evening of October 24 but did not return home that night.
Passersby reportedly found her body covered with firewood, clothes and sack beside a well near her residence at Old Ministers’ Hill colony the following morning.
The police rushed to the spot after being informed about the incident. After a few hours, a forensic team from Dimapur arrived and conducted an examination before the body was handed over to the family members.
