Make Smart City project a reality: Khriehu

Dimapur, November 5: On selection of Kohima city for the Smart City Project, Parliamentary Secretary of Youth Resources & Sports, Lotteries, MTF, Khriehu Liezietsu has termed it as good opportunity to develop the city and called upon the public to change mindset for development and to take extra steps to make the project a reality. He said this in his address at the get together and sports meet of the High School Ward Adoption Committee under the Kohima DPDB at High School ground on November 5. Expressing concern on the State government’s initiative to prepare the electoral roll in accordance with the Nagaland Municipality Act, he urged all the colony/ward leaders and citizens to cooperate and participate in the exercise to bring out clean e-roll and clean elections. In regard to the Kohima municipal elections, he called upon the citizens to give their best and choose the right candidate for Ward No-1 and set an example as the best Ward for others to follow and emulate. Khriehu thanked all the Ward Adoption Committee members for their contributions and commitment towards the improvement and upliftment of the people. He was confident that the public had greatly benefited from all the hard work and innovations ranging from cleanliness drive to free health camp and with the get together and sports meet to culminate the adoption activities during the year. He also appreciated the citizens of the ward for their mass support and participation in making the DPDB programe a success. He also congratulated the winning teams and all the participants for making the event a successful one and gave away the running trophy and other awards to the winners and the participants. Convenor of the Ward Adoption Committee, SDO (C) Sadar, Kethosituo Sekhose, thanked Khriehu for his guidance and supports in all the ward adoption activities and hoped his support would continue with the ward adoption programme in the coming days. He pointed out that the colonies were forthcoming in all the activities and responded well and hope for more unity and understanding towards various developments in days to come. DPO, Land Resources and Member Secretary of the Ward Adoption, Dr. Menuosietuo Tseikha shared about the Ward Adoption under DPDB Kohima. While highlighting various activities carried out in the Ward by the Adoption Committee through-out the year, he thanked all concerned for their support. In the men’s volleyball, Zienuobadze defeated Peraciezie in the final to claim the championship, while in the women’s tug of war Sepfüzou defeated Perizie. The closing function of the meet was chaired by chairman of High School Ward, Zasilhoulie, and the vote of thanks was delivered by Perizie Colony chairman, Akhie Liezietsu.
