“Make Nagas Great Again”- Case for a Naga Donald Trump!!

Whether Nagas were ever great is another issue, but taking a leaf out from Donald Trump’s Worldview, it should behove us good to make ourselves Great! If not for the petty personal squabbling in the US presidential election, the Donald sledgehammer is a refreshing change from the usual PC (Political Correctness) afflicting the Western countries, or rather, their obsession with it, and the in-your-face campaign style of the Republican candidate who has managed to address issues of the heart, such as, the influx of illegal immigrants, economic meltdown and the worldwide rising tide of radical Islamic terrorism. The relevance of Donald Trump is that he has managed to raise issues mainstream politicians and liberals- Obama and Hillary included, will never address for fear-imagined or otherwise, of being labeled bigot, backward looking, racist, intolerant and narrow-minded, the same accusations raised closer home nowadays. Illegal immigration, economic insecurity and radical Islamic terrorism being global problems, it’s not surprising these are issues of our heart as well. Lamentably, there will be no Brexit (British exit from Europe) for Nagas, nor is there a Donald among the current crop of Naga leaders. Yet, it is imperative we do find a Donald. We need a Naga Donald (or Naga Don, for short!) to erect the IBI WALL (ILP) and stop illegal immigrants from entering the State; in our case, the Wall of ILP should be extended to Dimapur district. The Manipuris too want their own ILP Wall. The East Europeans have built their barbed wire Wall. The latest instance of a suspected IBI attempting to rape an Angami woman in Kohima heralds the finality that Nagas are no longer safe or feared. The Naga Donald should erect another Wall- by enforcing the 1978 Land Act which bars sale of lands to outsiders. Meghalaya has such a strictly enforced law. We have had enough of our mainstream politicians thumping their fists against Illegal immigrants during official functions only to actively solicit their donations during elections. The Angela Merkels should be banished to political wilderness. For once, Hillary is right; there’s a rise in Right-wing politicians all over the world led by the genius, Putin of Russia. The Naga Donald should be Right-wing; no different from Putin, or PM Modi. The American Donald has constantly attacked Hillary for being under the control of Wall Street bankers and unethical Corporations. Mexican illegals in the US are also accused of taking jobs away from American patriots. The IBIs cannot have their free run anymore. The Naga Donald should systematically and legally dismantle all the syndicate and illegal businesses. The Hillary Clintons of Nagaland enriching themselves from Wall Street should be identified and defeated. Most mainstream Naga politicians are under the control of our own Wall Street giants, owners of counterfeit businesses run by fly-by-night operators. No longer should the Naga Donald entertain interests; where, the idea of business is to bribe and then flood the State with illicit, spurious alcohol; where, their sense of business is to supply chalk that turns yellow after a week; where, their idea of corporate responsibility is to siphon off rice and wheat meant for poor beneficiaries in the state from Kolkata itself; where, the motive for running a government licensed kerosene agency is to destroy our vehicles with diverted kerosene mixed in our fuel; and where, the idea of goods supply is to resupply the department with leaky old pipes bought from the department itself after repainting it! The Naga Donald should also destroy all the phony 10% interest (Naga Interest) societies! The rather inconvenient truth is that we have reduced ourselves to an undignified existence - a “PURCHASABLE RACE” in all aspects. One cannot be but aghast when the wheeler-dealer mobile phone retailer feels self-exalted enough to proposition our women for gratification in exchange for a brand new phone and the deal gets done, easily. Judas Iscariot was the author of the indignity called “30 pieces of silver,” but most Nagas haven’t tottered far from the tree where he hanged himself. The NagaDon should build up the Naga economy. China is extensively flayed by the Donald for taking away jobs from America. The promise to “Make America Great Again” is primarily on the economic front. While our own work culture is truly missing, the state government is much guilty of doing nothing. The Naga Donald should be a visionary. He should identify our core competencies, such as, agriculture, horticulture and floriculture to name a few, and in sports, archery, wrestling, boxing, taekwondo, shooting, and football, etc. Team GB excelled in both London and Rio Olympics by concentrating on their competencies. He should engage in full-border trade with Myanmar (Unlike the hardy Meiteis, most of us would perish in case Assam decides to starve us! Check out the mad scramble in Breeze bakery during single bandh days!).In our case, the fiery dragon China is the Lahorijan-Khatkhati sector which is fast developing into a major trading hub. In 20 years’ time at present pace, it should rival Dimapur. Strategically speaking, the Naga Donald should have a Lahorijan-Khatkhati containment policy. The American Donald is less clear on the morality front. While he is pro-life, he has been sending mixed signals on family, gays and lesbians. The Naga Donald should be clear with his Christian Worldview. So what is this Christian Worldview? The Christian Worldview believes in a moral order which is the undergird of every cultural proposition, such as, polity, economy, arts and culture, music, governance, media, etc., in the secular world. Without amoral order or a moral compass referencing to an absolute truth or an absolute God, there is decay. When parents in England ‘strongly support’ their 11 year old daughter for a sex change, we don’t doubt the sanity of the parents, but wholly agree that when the parents themselves have grown up in a secular and liberal worldview peddled with heavy doses of John Lennon’s “ ‘Imagine’ There’s No Heaven” song; and peppered with massive counter-Christian Worldviews advocated by hippie, pot-smoking Oxford and Cambridge university professors rebelling against the established moral culture; their child’s abnormal orientation is bound to be accepted as normal and acceptable; and the people questioning the child’s upbringing as retards! When newspapers in Nagaland carry stories on lesbian marriage, or the transgender community on its front page or entertainment section, it’s not just a story- it’s advocacy, that there is no right or wrong anymore- a Worldview, as opposed to absolute truths. Nagas were never strongly equipped enough in the Word to handle moral questions. No wonder our state has always been an excellent breeding ground for other Worldviews. This is in sharp contrast to the immigrant musalman French woman, who, despite being a racial and religious minority group, bared her fangs, carried her Worldview, and defied the law and ethos of France- the French Worldview, and wore burkini- the Muslim version of full-body bikini complete with headscarf, in a beach courting arrest! It’s a sharp contrast to our ethos, where, a procession of alien Worldviews in the form of Western liberal thoughts- atheism, gay and lesbian activism are all extensions of it, Japanese Anime, satanic worship-another cultural import, patriarchy-bashing feminism (actually patriarchy has no connection with women suppression as made out by some women/rights groups in the state), etc., have all found gospel truth acceptance in our society. No wonder, there’s a moral paralysis in the state; another reason why eyebrows aren’t raised when our leaders pimp influential Union Ministers in the hope of getting ‘precious departmental funds’. Rather, para-manu is that exalted man who has looted the entire state treasury. Of late, our kids are growing up as transvestites, bisexuals, gays and lesbians, thanks to un-parenting, the rather bizarre liberal Worldview peddled around that every individual is inherently good, and therefore all children should be allowed to grow at his/her own choice. The Naga Donald is called to provide a strong moral foundation for the Nagas and shepherd us. The current crop of leaders has failed us and will ultimately lead us to abysmal level of frustration and possible civil war if we ourselves don’t take control of our own existence. But who shall be the Naga Donald? For the sake of “In God We Trust” and “Nagaland for Christ” both, the Donald is the need of the hour. Bring up the wall!
