A common platform for 25 Mongoya Assembly Constituency candidates-- Imkongmar from NDPP, S Supongmeren Jamir from Congress and Moasangba Jamir from NPF – was held at Community Hall, Majakong ward on Wednesday.
Moasangba Jamir, during his address, stated that NPF is the oldest regional party with the purpose to serve the Naga people.He added that if given the people’s mandate, he would work hand-in-hand with the people to bring development and would stand for transparency and equal distribution in all developmental activities.
S Supongmeren Jamir stated that he stands for a common goal for bringing change and development both in the rural and urban areas with key focus on skill development, practical job creation avenues for the unemployed youths, besides special attention for the minorities for equal representation.
Imkongmar, citing the slogan of the NDPP party ‘Facta Non Verba’, stated that if the people give their mandate, he would do everything in his capacity to bring all round development inclusive of the party’s manifesto that gives importance to youth empowerment, gender equality and equal opportunities. He further urged the candidates to work hand-in-hand even after the election culminates.
During the programme, a dedicatory prayer for the candidates was delivered by Rev. Wati, Associate Pastor, Mokokchung Town Baptist Arogo.
