Dimapur, Aug.30 (EMN): Mahendra’s Education on Tuesday launched Mahendra Educational Private Limited, a coaching centre which will mentor aspirants preparing for Nagaland Public Service Commission (NPSC), Staff Selection Commission (SSC) and SSC banking.
The coaching centre located at Middle Point colony (building no. 75), Tajen Ao Road, was inaugurated by deputy commissioner, Dimapur, Sachin Jaiswal.
The DC in his address at the inauguration said that though the “talent and quality” among the Nagas have increased tremendously, but the habit of reading newspapers amongst the educated youth still remains low.
With his experience as a panelist for NPSC viva, Jaiswal reminded the job aspirants that reading newspapers always comes handy during preparation of any examination.
“Crux of the news is overlapping here and although the local news are essential, it is also very important to go through national and international newspapers while preparing exams”, he said.
The DC also pointed out that at the end of the day it is not how much one reads but how one focuses to be concise in one’s preparation that matters.
Jaiswal advised the aspirants to focus on what suits one’s learning and noted that the physiological aspect was an important approach as well. At the same time he also reminded them that besides government jobs there are other sectors as well as many opportunities which they can look for. He also urged the aspirants not to let initial failures dissuade them from pursuing their dream careers.
The DC was also of the view that interviews are not only confined to knowledge-testing but more of how one fits in as an administrative officer.
‘It is not about how well you remember book knowledge but how best suited you are to deal with challenges and that is what brings the best out of people,’ he added.
