Dimapur, Sep. 24: The fourth edition of ‘Magnum Opus,’ a yearly art and music festival organised by the Act Of Kindness (AOK) Dimapur, in collaboration with North East Zone Cultural Centre (NEZCC) will be held from on October 24 to 25th at Urban Haat, Walford Road in Dimapur.
The festival is organised to celebrate and commemorate International Artist Day, which falls on October 25.
Speaking to media persons, the organising team from AOK informed that fictional, folk and short story writing workshops would be a new addition this year.
“This year we want to encourage all the college and high school students to participate and move forward by showcasing their talent in different fields of art and music,” said Adrian from AOK.
Apart from the story writing workshops, various other workshops conducted will include art, photography, poetry and others.
This year’s edition will give a chance for artists in the field of music and art to win cash prizes and gift hampers also.
The best live original performance will get an audio and video contract sponsored by Richa Productions and a cash prize of INR 10,000.
The winner for the poetry competition and short story writing competition, apart from a cash prize, will receive book gift hampers and selected short stories will be published by Heritage Publishing House and every three years selected poems will be featured in the book ‘The bards of Magnum Opus.’
The art competition which is open for all carries INR 5000 as first prize and INR 3000 as second prize.
The Cosplay competition will have two categories, best costume and best CosPlayer where the winners will be handed INR 10,000 each.
