‘Magdalene’ to perform live at KYF National Rock Contest- 2023

 ‘Magdalene,’ one of the most promising rock bands from Northeast will be performing live on the final day of the upcoming 49th Karbi Youth Festival (KYF) National Rock Contest- 2023 which will begin on Feb. 15 till the 19th.

As part of the festival, a total of 20 bands from across the country will be competing in the prelims round of the rock contest scheduled to be held on Feb. 17 at Arboretum Art & Craft centre Matipung in Diphu.

The 49th KYF National rock contest-2023 is being organised by Racket Tailed Musical Society (RTMS) in collaboration with Karbi Cultural Society (KCS).

RTMS joint Treasurer Rahul Hanse informed that the reporting time is from 9 am to 1 pm while informing that registrations for the prelims round are now closed.

The finale will be held on Feb. 19 at Semson Sing Engti open stage, Karbi People’s hall, Taralangso.

KYF National Rock Contest- 2023

The bands to participate in the preliminary rounds are Existence from Ranchi and Next to Blue Moon, Naga Incarnate, Since 90’s, Kenny and Faith Band and Blood of the Tomato from Nagaland. Tokyo Lights and Maestro are from Haflong; Dissected Soul from Darjeeling; Audile from Assam; Fredy’s from Mizoram and D’Errors from Kolkata.

Bands from Karbi Anglong include Onslaught Anabolic, Alternate Agenda, Under the Reconstruction, Trivial, The Redeemer and The Fallen and Mintor.

Hope for Humanity, a band from Karbi Anglong has got Wildcard Entry for the finale.
