A local social group- Mokokchung Arts & Aesthetics Management (MAAM) will be organising a live concert-‘Winter Melody’ on Dec. 12 at Imkongmeren Sports Complex.
The concert is being organised to bring unity, inspiration and to give hope to cancer patients, survivors, and the community by sharing the joy through live music performances.
This was informed during a press conference on Nov. 19 Sun. afternoon at Black & White restaurant. The MAAM president Asola Ozukum, General Secretary Imsulemla Aier and Ajung Soyah, a member said that the concert is being organised for raising trust fund towards helping the cancer patients.
MAAM, an active social group has been closely associated with the cause of cancer patients in the society since its inception in the year 2014. The group has also launched “Cancer Trust Fund” on Oct. 2014 to reach out both indoor and outdoor cancer patients with monetary assistance.
Recently the group provided monetary assistant to two cancer patients for further treatment, added Asola while saying that most of the cancer patients are from an economically weaker section and downtrodden families, who could not effort the luxury of going outside the state for better treatment and facilities.
The MAAM president hoped that the event will raise awareness and channelise smooth funding of aid for cancer patients who need monetary assistance.
The charity concert will be joined by accomplished and exciting artists like Incipit, Samaro from Nagaland and Rosy K Remsangpuü from Mizoram to help inspire and give hope to cancer patients, their families, caregivers, and the greater cancer community.
