Lt. Nyamo Lotha & Daniel Lotha Memorial Football Trophy underway

Our Staff Reporter Dimapur, November 1 The 20th ‘Lt. Nyamo Lotha & Daniel Lotha Memorial Football Running Trophy’ organized by the Dimapur Lotha Students Union (DLSU) commenced today with Member Vigilance & Monitoring Committee Ministry of Rural Development, S. Richard Humtsoe as the chief guest. Altogether 17 Lotha football teams from Dimapur have come to compete for the ‘Lt. Nyamo Lotha & Daniel Lotha Memorial Football Running Trophy.’ Richard Humtsoe briefing about some important Naga football players encouraged all the players to give importance on sports stating that, ‘games are part of knowledge that needs focus and attention.’ He also encouraged all the players to create a positive relationship in the community through the tournament. Family members of Lt. Nyamo Lotha & Daniel Lotha also spoke during the opening ceremony. A special performance was presented by Henry Tungoe, a contestant of ‘You Know You Got It 2014.’ The tournament was declared open by the chief guest while the oath taking ceremony was performed by Sports Secretary DLSU R. Elis Lotha. The 7 days annual football tournament will culminate on November 7.
