Wokha, April 22 (EMN): Akuk Students' Union (ASU) emerged champion of the 21st edition of Lotha Students Union (LSU) Martyrs' trophy against Yanchum Yankho Old Changsu (YYOC) by 1-0 at local ground, Wokha on Friday.
Ekonthung Kithan scored the lone goal in 15 minutes of the first half to take the team to the victory.
NSN Lotha, former NSF president, was the special guest and kicked off the match. He also handed over the trophy, cash and certificates to the winners.
The best team was awarded to Sunglup Sputnik, while Liyanthung Odyuo (YYOC) claimed the best defender. Ekonthung Kithan (ASU) was the highest scorer, while Zubenthung Kithan of ASU was awarded the best player of the tournament.
