
DIMAPUR — The Lotha Students' Union (LSU) has condemned the “brutal murder” of Ahoa Konyak, chairman of the action committee Tizit Area Students' Union (TASU), who was hacked to death on May 25 at Tizit by an alleged drug peddler.
[bsa_pro_ad_space id=1]“The Lotha Students' Union condemns such inhumane and barbaric act perpetrated by the accused Menshan Konyak while the TASU were conducting an official inspection to curb the menace of illicit drug peddling and usage in the area,” LSU stated in a condemnation note.

While demanding befitting punishment to the accused, the union also appealed to the authorities concerned to enforce a policy to eradicate the trafficking and usage of drugs and substances in the state.
