
Dimapur, Feb. 2 (EMN): Department of land resources has organised a farewell programme in honour of its outgoing director, Hoto Yeptho, on January 31 in the conference hall of its directorate.
Hoto Yeptho, delivering his farewell speech, termed the day of retirement as an auspicious day which all government servants look forward to. Stating that he had given his best both in times of success and failure during his tenure in service, Hoto said he is happily retiring with no regrets.
Lauding the officers and staff for their commendable duties, he urged them to continue giving their best. He has described the incoming director T Renben Lotha as a committed and straight forward officer, who is always willing to work for the betterment of the department and the people. He further expressed readiness to assist the department in times of need even after his retirement.
Also speaking on the occasion, commissioner and secretary of land resources, Kikheto Sema, mentioned that the outgoing officer had served the department with sincerity and discharged his duties diligently. Sema added that the outgoing director had delivered maximum good work to the needy people of the state.
He further stated that Hoto had helped, motivated and moulded lots of people, who have become responsible leaders in the society today.
T Renben Lotha, incoming director, lauded the outgoing director for his tremendous contributions to the society and streamlining the department. He described him as a perfect gentleman, caring, generous and a God fearing person.
Reiterating a quote by John Lennon that 'the purpose of life is to be happy,' TR Lotha expressed gratitude to the outgoing officer for his 35 years of selfless service. He further wished happiness in his new phase of a retired life.
