Dimapur, Nov. 2 (EMN): The first match of match day 23 of the ongoing Loyem Memorial Senior Soccer Open Championship saw 3rd NAP Battalion earn three points following what was stated by the organisers in a press release as a “walk-out” staged by the opposing team Upper Defence FC. “The intense second match played out between Donching Yangmei FC A and Lungdon FC ended in a goalless draw much to the delight of Donching Yangmei FC A supporters. Lungdon FC missed several opportunities in the first half and in the 37th minute of second half, Lungdon FC missed the golden opportunity to convert a goal after they were awarded a penalty kick which was beautifully deflected by the custodian of Donching Yangmei FC A Naset Chang denying a much needed goal for Lungdon FC which could have sealed their spot for the quarterfinal playoff. “With this draw Donching Yangmei FC are through to the quarterfinal playoff,” it informed.
