[dropcap]T[/dropcap]he heart of people opens when they receive love. Love is a precious thing that causes people to sacrifice for others. That is what opens people’s hearts, allows their hearts to flow with one another, and makes them happy. Although they may all be minerals, gold and silver are different. Likewise, everyone has different personalities. Some people have infinite hearts of love, while others harbor hatred and malice. Although they are all people, according to what they hold in their hearts, there is a great difference in the world of people’s hearts.
People have eyes, a nose, a mouth, and ears. But above all else, people have hearts: the heart to love their children and the heart to sacrifice for their children. This is something only the mother and father can have, and is something no one can duplicate. The parents want their children to be well. They want their children to grow to become someone great.The problem with many young people is that their hearts are blocked from their fathers. When Children converse with their fathers from their hearts, and listen to their father’s words, they can feel that within their father’s hearts is the love of wanting their children to be well. Even though at time a father becomes angry and scolds his son, when he listens closely to the father’s words, he can feel his father’s heart of love. When children feel their father’s love, then change begins to happen in their lives. Students who used to live crooked lives are able to hold their hearts the right way once they come to know their father’s heart. “I’ve been wrong. I shouldn’t be acting this way.”
Because of this, fathers should pour their love upon their children and not expect them to change overnight. They should pour their hearts onto their children, little by little.
If the parents sacrifice for their children and love them, then the children who only cared about themselves will begin to feel the love of their parents and be touched. When Parent’s hearts of love flow into their children, then the young people who have fallen into gaming, drinking, gambling, and living riotously, can overcome the desires inside. The mother and father have the heart for their children. Pretty mothers have such a heart, and even mothers who are not pretty have such a heart. Educated mothers have the heart to love their children, and uneducated mothers have the same heart. Mothers with lots of money take care of their children with the money they have. And mothers without money care for and love their children without money. When the children feel the parent’s hearts of love and sacrifice that will change their hearts.
When a car runs out of fuel, the hand on the fuel gauge points to the bottom. Upon seeing this, you go to the gas station and put in fuel. Then the hand on the gauge goes back up again. But while you’re driving, if you see that the fuel gauge hand is pointing to the bottom, and ask, “Why is the hand pointing to the bottom?” and you break the glass on the gauge and force the needle to face upward, will that work? It is the fuel that goes into the tank that makes the needle go up again. Just because you bend the hands to point upwards, it does not solve anything.
This is also true with people’s hearts. When there is no love in people’s hearts, and when there is no exchange with other people and they live isolated, people try to solve their problems on their own. However, genuine change does not happen through outward changes. There has to be a change at the core of the heart. That is the force that changes our actions. Therefore, when your heart flows with other people, and when their peace and joy enter into you and remain there, that is when your life begins to change.
We have to think about what kind of person we are and open our hearts to listen to what other people say. We have to learn to listen closely. Then, when our hearts flow into one another, our lives become healthy and beautiful.
