Dimapur, August 28 (EMN): The Lotha Students’ Union (LSU) undertook its 1st Phase of schools and colleges visitation in Wokha town from August 9 to 19. The visiting team had an interaction with students and exhorted them to be good students and achieve their goal.
The LSU also formed the Grievances Cell and Action Committee Cell for the tenure of 2017-2020.
Grievances cell will be headed by its vice president to deal with the problems and grievances face by the students in particular and public in general at Wokha district, while the Action Committee Cell will deal with the students loitering around in school uniform during class hour, taking intoxicating substances, chewing tobacco and immoral activities among others and to initiate stern action against defaulters.
The LSU also sought cooperation from every individual.
The union also requested all the shop owners near educational institution not to sell any tobacco, drugs and alcohol and to abide with the COPTA rules.
Further, LSU informed that the 2nd Phase of inspection will be carried out soon in all the government schools under Wokha district.
