
DIMAPUR — Lotha Students’ Union Bengaluru (LSUB) observed its 27th freshers’ meet on August 24 at Paalaana Bhavana in Benson town, Bengaluru, on the theme “Transcending cultural amnesia."
An update from the union stated that over 140 participants including representative from NSUB, ENSUB, sub-units leaders, church leaders, well-wishers and community members from different Naga tribes residing in Bengaluru attended the programme.
The special guest of the event was Dr. Eyingbeni Humtsoe Nienu, faculty of Christian Theological College, Bengaluru and Dr. O. Grace Ngullie as guest speaker, Manipal Academy of Higher Education.
Dr. Nienu has stressed to need to revitalise many of good culture of the forefathers and pass on to the upcoming generations. She advised the students to inculcate the habit of reading to excel in life. She further encouraged the students to make new friends and share ideas besides adhering to ethical principles.
While Dr. Ngullie as the guest speaker underscored the pursuit of excellence and stressed on the significance of ethical approach characterized by honesty, respect, and commitment to doing good for others in achieving genuine success.
An update from the union stated that Lochumi A Murry and Pithungo O Ngullie were crowned Miss and Mr fresher respectively.
