Dimapur, August 16 : The Lotha public at a meeting held in Wokha on Saturday resolved to submit an ultimatum to the state government to arrest Nrikhon Aka Albert Lotha ZCO-cum-Town Commander, Wokha Town who is reportedly the main accused as revealed by the culprit arrested in the August 12 incident.
The meeting demanded that the arrest be made within 10 days from the time of receiving the ultimatum, failing which it said the Lotha public will initiate befitting action.
The house resolved to submit a memorandum to the government contractor & suppliers union and Lotha Class-I registered union to cancel the license office registration from the respective office with immediate effect.
The statement was signed by members of various frontal organization including Nchumbemo R. Ezung President, Lotha Youth Hoho; Bankathung Lotha President, ACVA; Khyolamo Humtsoe ACAUT, Convenor; James M. Tungoe General Secretary, WDEA; Thungdemo Kyong Chief, Team Metamorphosis and Sulanthung Ezung President, WDAU.
The meeting said, ceasefire monitoring group office will be informed through its chairman to remove Nrikhon aka Albert Lotha from Wokha with immediate effect for working against the wish of the Nagas in general and the Lotha in particular.
“The office of the Town Command NSCN-IM will also have to be shifted out of public habitation to a designated area as per laid ceasefire ground rules.”
The meeting resolved to give a clear signal to all the Naga political groups to avoid any intervention with regard to August 12th taxation case.
The meeting also resolved to send out a clean signal to all concerned that Lotha shall strongly stand with Nagas resolution of ‘One government One Tax” and that if any untoward happens in any of the Lothas, the Lotha shall strongly necessitate befitting action for which the Lotha public will not be held responsible.
“The August 12th 2016 issue is purely between the Lotha Public and Nrikhon Aka Albert Lotha and his accomplices,” the statement said.
