Dimapur, Jan. 10 (EMN): Wokha Humtso Elumyo Senior Youth Welfare Forum (WHESYWF) has strongly condemned the unprecedented raid on the official residence of NSCN (IM) kilonser, RT Tsanglao of Elumyo village, in DImapur on December 26 by the troops of 32 Assam Rifles under the command of one Col. VS Pal.
A joint press release issued by WHESYWF president Tsenbomo P Humtsoe and the secretary Renben Tsanglao have requested all concerned to condemn the ‘unscrupulous act’ of the Assam Rifles terming it as an insult to the long cherished dream of the Nagas for permanent peace.
“The raid executed without any rhyme or reason has not only ruined the festive mood and the peaceful atmosphere in the state but also hurt the sentiments of the Naga freedom fighter and a peace loving person. The statement added.
WHESYWF has advised the 32 Assam Rifles to desist from such cowardly act and to ascertain the facts properly before any action since such irresponsible act in the future. It cautioned that such deliberate activities would only jeopardise the long nurtured peace talks between the Centre and the Nagas.
