Lotha Football Championship: Old Changsu FC, Friends Club secure wins

WOKHA — Old Changsu FC, Nitsuyan FC, Friends Club and NRFC emerged victorious on the fourth day of the Lotha Football Championship (LFC) 2026, organised by the Wokha District Football Association (WDFA) at the Wokha local ground on Saturday.

In the 10th match of the 15th edition of the tournament, Old Changsu FC defeated Emirates FC with a 6–0 win.

Ekonthung Kithan opened the scoring in the 5th minute, before Lavanthung Kithan scored four goals in the 30th, 40th, 46th and 53rd minutes. Hathungo sealed the victory with a strike in the 65th minute.

The 11th match saw Nitsuyan FC edge past Tsumang FC in a closely fought contest. Yiben Ezung netted a brace in the 19th and 41st minutes to secure the win for his side.

Friends Club registered a triumph in the 12th match, defeating Flamingo FC 5–1. Randanbemo struck early in the 2nd minute, followed by a hat-trick from Renjamo in the 31st, 37th and 41st minutes. Lirhonthung added another in the 54th minute, while Flamingo FC managed a consolation through Nitova in the 42nd minute.

In the day’s final fixture, NRFC recorded a narrow 1–0 victory over Star Madrid FC. Yanrenthung scored the decisive goal in the 20th minute to hand his team the win.
