Dimapur, Jan. 31 (EMN): The Headhunters 164 TA defeated one time runners-up Friends Club by 4-0 on the third day of the 9th Lotha football championship at local ground Wokha on Thursday.
Chingsha of Headhunters ,who became the second player to get a hatrick in the championship, found the net in the 22nd, 50th and 60th minutes of the game, reported the organisers Wokha District Football Association.
In the second match Local favorites Vungotchu Football club found an equaliser in the 42nd minute of the game which came from Yiben to settle for a draw 1-1 against defending champions NRSA. Aloumai of NRSA had scored earlier in the 19th minute.
In the third match Forest FC beat three times champions Bonnie Club 2-1. Yanbo and Oponthung scored for Forest FC in the 25th and 50th minute. The lone goal for Bonnie was scored by Ellis in the 38th minute.
The fourth match between WRSU Wozhuro and United Boys ended in 1-1 draw. Alamo found the lead for United Boys in the 31st minute but in the second half of the match WRSU found an equaliser in the 49th minute through Mhonchan.
