- DIMAPUR — The
Lotha Doctors Forum (LDF) condemned Albert P Lotha for falsely posing as an
MBBS doctor and illegally treating patients at a medical hall in Dimapur.
- In a press statement, the LDF stated that this appalling act
of impersonation is not only a serious criminal offence but also a blatant
threat to public health and safety.
- “Upon careful verification, the Lotha Doctors Forum confirms
that Mr. Albert P Lotha is not a qualified medical doctor, nor has he ever been
affiliated with the Lotha Doctors Forum or its Dimapur unit. He holds no
medical registration or professional license and has fraudulently misled
patients into trusting him with their health,” the statement read.
- Stating that what is equally alarming is his deliberate
misuse of the Lotha tribal identity, the forum noted that Albert's father is of
Bengali origin and is married to a Lotha woman. It added that, while they
uphold the dignity of inter-community families, it is entirely unacceptable for
Albert to misrepresent himself as a full-fledged member of the Lotha community
for personal gain.

- “By falsely using the Lotha surname to cover his deceitful
and illegal practices, Mr. Albert has deeply dishonoured both the medical
profession and the Lotha community. The Lotha Doctors Forum views this act as a
betrayal of public trust, a grave violation of medical ethics, and a
disgraceful stain on our community's name,” it said, maintaining that such
fraudulent impersonation cannot be taken lightly and must be met with strict
and exemplary action.
- The LDF urged the concerned authorities to initiate the
strongest legal proceedings against Albert under all applicable sections of the
law and take urgent measures to prevent such impersonators from endangering
public lives in the future.
- “We reaffirm our commitment to upholding ethical medical
practice, protecting the dignity of the Lotha community, and ensuring that such
frauds are brought to justice without delay,” it concluded.
