Kohima, Sep 6 (EMN): Advisor for Youth Resources and Sports, Zale Neikha, on Thursday called upon the educated youth in Nagaland to look and think beyond the State services, go beyond the state boundaries, even abroad and make known to the outside world that Nagas are second to none.
Addressing the 57th Freshers’ Social cum Charity Concert of Kohima Science College (Autonomous) Jotsoma, Zale said the popular phrase “survival of the fittest” does not confine to natural selection alone but also covers human in today’s world.
“We are forced to compete with each other in order to excel over another, and therefore if you want to become someone in the society one has to do better than their colleagues. Therefore, one should have the spirit of competition,” he said.
Considering the limited employment avenue in government sector, he said the students may not get job in the sector unless they are hardworking.
Nonetheless, he said seeking education does not necessarily confine to getting employed in government job but as an educated person one should search for their own talent, and once they find that they will not remain unemployed. He also challenged the young minds to think beyond state services.
Maintaining that the present generation is fortunate to have all the facilities at their disposal to gain knowledge, he said “Technology is at your palm, a ‘click’ or ‘touch of screen’ will feed you with what you want to know.” He also cautioned them to utilise the facilities in proper manner and never to misuse it.
Neikha, who is an alumnus of the college, congratulated the freshers for successfully passing the HSSLC Examination 2018. He reminded them that one has to be serious in studies as everything is competitive today.
“You should not forget that you are studying in the most prestigious Government College in Nagaland here at Jotsoma,” he told them while expressing hope that everyone will uphold the good reputation of KSCJ during their time.
