Dimapur, Nov. 27 (EMN): Cardamom farmers in particular and people of Longwa village in general have appreciated the generous act of the Mon district disaster management authority for helping farmers of the village whose plantations are said to have failed due to Climate Change.
An update stated that cardamom plantations were the only source of income for the farmers there.
It stated that taking note of the many problems faced by the farmers, a CFR volunteer from the village namely Y Palei Konyak reported the same to the DDMA Mon. It added that without much delay, the management on November 26 distributed 56 bags of rice to 56 farmers.
On behalf of the beneficiaries, Y Palei Konyak has expressed gratitude to the DDMA and district administration.
