Dimapur, Nov. 19 (EMN): The district administrators of Longleng district inspected a fuel station, Leinyak Petro Pump, in Longleng on November 16.
Updates from the government bulletin DIPR informed on Monday that the inspectors were the deputy commissioner of Longleng district John Tsulise Sangtam, subdivision officer (civil) D Robin, additional police superintendent Atopu Sumi, Supply ADS Ekoni Humtsoe, and District Public Relations Officer S Hongpi Konyak.
The team inspected the station for fuel adulteration, availability of filter paper and density reference records; metering units and totalling unit seals; maintenance of testing kits (calibrated hydrometers/thermometers and ASTM density conservators tables) and records, among other facilities.
The facilities that were inspected included bathrooms, toilets, clean and safe drinking water, free air filling, First Aid kits, fire extinguishers; CCTV; opening stock display of the day and retail selling prices etc.
Following the inspection, the deputy commissioner directed the petrol pump manager ‘not to conceal any amenities provided to the consumers but display all facilities provided outside the building including consumer’s rights and prices of items so that consumers can avail the facilities provided by the oil company,’ the DIPR stated.
The administration also emphasised on safe drinking water, sanitation and cleanliness of toilet and bathrooms. Sangtam said that a notice would be served from his office for monthly ‘surprise inspections’ by the district level task force committee constituted for the purpose and to maintain the facilities.
The team also collected samples of petrol and diesel to be sent to the laboratories to ‘ensure cent percent adulteration free fuel in the district,’ the updates stated. The administration inspected the facility as directed by the government to ‘check irregularities and practices of retail outlets,’ the DIPR added.
