- DIMAPUR — Longleng
District Health Society (DHS) held a review meeting on District Task Force on
Immunisation (DTFI), which was followed by meeting of District Quality
Assurance Committee (DQAC) and Ayushman Bharat School Health and Wellness Committee ABSHWC) on February 28 at the
office of the deputy commissioner (DC) in Longleng town.
- The meeting was held under the chairmanship of W Manpai
Phom, deputy commissioner of Longleng.
- An update from the office of the chief medical officer
(CMO), Longleng, stated that Dr. Imtijungshi Aier, DPO (RCH/UIP), gave a short
briefing on the performance of routine immunisation in the district focusing on
Pentavalent and Measles Rubella vaccine coverage. He informed that the
department has already disseminated information to all the health units to do
the line listing of the drop-outs and mobilise them for vaccination by March
2025.
- Akumjungla, DPM QA, gave an overview presentation on
National Quality Assurance Standards (NQAS), set standards that assess the
quality and certify public health facilities in India. She informed that Tangha
HWC has undergone state-level certification.
- Dr. Angphen, MO of RBSK, highlighted on Ayushman Bharat
School Health and Wellness new programme, a joint initiative under Ministry of
Health and Family Welfare launched in February 2020, where the programme would
be implemented in Longleng from this year in Longleng.
- It stated that two teachers from every government school would
be selected and trained as the ambassadors of school health programme. The main
focus of the programme was to improve health and well being of school children.
- The meeting was attended by representatives from district
administration, Education department, CSOs and medical staff.
