DIMAPUR — A meeting of the Longleng District TB Forum took place on Thursday at the DC conference hall in Longleng, presided over by Dr. Temsusashi, the district TB officer.
During the meeting, he explained the reasons behind forming the forum and outlined its objectives. He also informed those present about plans to conduct similar TB forum events at the block level, as stated in a press release.
Deputy Commissioner of Longleng, Dharam Raj, emphasised community participation in his speech and encouraged the forum to continue its activities.
Tongang (STS, NTEP) and Meriden Khuvung (PMDT-HIV co-ordination, NTEP) discussed the TB programme and its incentives. Lita (DIS Longleng), gave a brief presentation on ICTC activities in the district.
Yingli Mission Society, Longleng, presented their activities in the district. A life testimony was given by a TB champion. This was followed by a discussion where queries were addressed.
