Longleng District Planning and Development Board holds monthly meeting

DIMAPUR — The Longleng District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) held its monthly meeting under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner and Vice Chairman DPDB Longleng, W Manpai Phom, at the DPDB hall, Longleng, on Tuesday.

The members discussed the agenda of creating an urban sub-centre within Longleng town, where the CMO Longleng highlighted the purpose, according to a DIPR report.

He informed the house that a site must be identified for construction, and after prolonged deliberation, the house agreed to constitute a committee for identifying the site and to discuss it in the next meeting.

The house also discussed the registration of a cooperative enterprise society, where the EAC Longleng, Imkongnukla Ao, highlighted the aims and purpose of the society. The house agreed to the proposal for further necessary action.

The principal of Bautung Government Higher Secondary School, Longleng, briefed on the ongoing construction of the school under the Light House Project. The MS Longleng also highlighted the work progress of the new district hospital.

The ARCS, Cooperation Longleng, Atongba, presented the departmental activities during the meeting through a PowerPoint presentation. The chairman entrusted the Department of Water Resources with the presentation in the next DPDB meeting.
