DIMAPUR — Along with the rest of the country, all the health units under Longleng district observed the 4th International Day of Clean Air for blue skies on the theme ‘Invest in clean air now’ on Monday.
According to an update from CMO Longleng, the theme highlights the urgent need for stronger partnerships, increased investments and shared responsibility to overcome air pollution.
Data manager, Integrated Disease Surveillance Programme (IDSP), Arenlong gave a brief overview about the effect of air pollution on health of traffic police personnel, occupational hazards, importance of seeking regular medical checkup, green initiatives like planting of trees and preservation of greens in and around the surrounding.
