A Maternal and Child Health camp was held at Yongam village by the Longleng District Health Society.

DIMAPUR — The District Health Society, Longleng, conducted a Maternal and Child Health (MCH) outreach camp at Yongam village in Longleng on Thursday to strengthen community-based healthcare delivery and provide essential medical services to the rural population.
The camp was organised to provide comprehensive healthcare services closer to the community, with particular focus on reproductive, maternal, newborn, and child health.
The initiative aimed to promote early detection of health conditions, encourage timely healthcare-seeking behaviour, and improve awareness regarding preventive practices, according to an update.
A range of essential healthcare services was provided during the camp, including antenatal care, postnatal care, family planning services, immunisation, and tuberculosis screening.
A total of 108 beneficiaries availed themselves of the healthcare services provided during the camp.
The outreach camp also served as a platform for health education and counselling, encouraging community members to adopt healthy practices and seek appropriate medical care when required.
