Longleng DC stressed on attendance at DPDB meeting

Dimapur, March 11 (EMN): The Longleng District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) meeting was held under the chairmanship of the Deputy Commissioner, John Tsulise Sangtam at DC’s conference hall on March 8, according to DPRO, Longleng. While welcoming the new members of the board to the House, the DC “stressed on the attendance of its members in the important meetings and programmes of the district and reiterated the HoOs (heads of offices) and officers to be in the station and cater to the needs of the people.” He also informed on Lok Sabha election, requisition of Government vehicles and the presence of government officers for smooth conduct of the election in the district. John also urged the members to inform the people to take part in Intensive Pulse Polio Immunisation (IPPI) programme that was held on Sunday. The board recommended the following agenda to different departments after the meeting:
  • Establishment of Shetap Police Post/Gate at Assam and Nagaland border.
  • Registration of Lamhong Khung Society of Hukphang village.
  • Construction of bypass road from Nyengching GHS to sub-jail via Hukphang Junction under Longleng town.
SDO civil Longleng, D. Robin, who is in-charge of transportation for the election, also informed the officers on the requisition of government vehicles to be submitted in good condition and apprised the members on exemption of government vehicle for nodal officers during the election.
