Dimapur, July 28 (EMN): The Longleng District Health Society successfully completed training on Rotavirus Introduction and RI Strengthening for all the blocks in the district.
The training for ASHAs and Aganwadis of Longleng 1, Longleng 2 and Yongnyah Block was held on July 16 and 17 at the CMO’s conference hall. The training for Yachem PHC and Tamlu PHC were conducted on July 15 and 19 respectively in their own blocks.
The training was conducted by Dr. Imnameren Phom, DPO (RCH/UIP), along with Dr. Chai-e Buchem, MO Yachem PHC; Dr. Manen Phom, MO Yongnyah PHC; and Dr. James Phom, MO Yachem PHC.
The health workers were trained on cold chain and vaccine logistics management, AEFI and surveillance management, diarrhoea prevention and management, communication and social mobilisation, monitoring and RVV introduction, UIP and responsibilities of MO, safe injection and waste disposal, exercise on RI micro plan format, supervision and monitoring, AEFI card game, role plays, pre and post questionnaires, managing session sites and station approach.
The training was attended by all the ASHAs and Anganwadi workers in the district.
