Dimapur, June 2 (EMN): Longleng district task force has conducted a coordination meeting on June 1 at the conference hall of the deputy commissioner, Longleng.
DC Longleng, John Tsulise Sangtam, who chaired the meeting, has exhorted the members to re-dedicate themselves towards the cause for the uplift of women in the district. He also encouraged the team members to discharge their duties with commitment to bring positive change for the welfare of women in the district.
While welcoming the newly recruited staff of district level centre for women under Mahila Shakti Kendra Longleng, the DC asserted that their main function was to provide foothold for BBBP as well as to bridge the gap between various levels of the District and to ensure filtration of various schemes at its level.
Phungla Phom, women welfare officer of DLCW, presented a power point, which was done in consultation with the SRCW. She also highlighted the two week training of the staff under State Resource Centre for women.
Tauhong Phom, nodal officer of BBBP & CDPO, Longleng, has highlighted about block level workers. He has also assured to extend his cooperation and support towards any activity to be undertaken by the DLCW in the near future.
The meeting was attended by members of the district task force and heads of different schools and institutions under Longleng.
