
DIMAPUR — A total of 177 cases worth amount of INR 2,89,07,043 were disposed off during the National Lok Adalat sitting conducted across districts by the District Legal Services Authorities (DLSA) under the aegis of the Nagaland State Legal Services Authorities (NSLSA) on May 13.
According to NSLSA, disputes/ matters/ cases listed for compromise settlement included cases in pending stage as well as in pre-litigation stage mostly in the category of bank recovery, criminal compoundable cases and motor accident cases tribunal (MACT) and other cases pertaining to public utility.
In Kiphire, a total of three bank loan recovery cases were disposed off with a settlement amount of INR 37,59,651, while in Zunheboto, a total of five pre-litigation bank recovery cases were disposed off with a settlement amount of INR 11,10,912.
[bsa_pro_ad_space id=1]In Tuensang, nine bank recovery cases were settled amounting to INR 10,01.951, while in Phek, a total of 13 cases taken up were disposed off with a settlement amount of INR 21,15,939.
In Wokha, a total of five cases were disposed off with a settlement amount of INR 9,89,240, while in Longleng, a total of 10 loan/ bank recovery cases were disposed off with a settlement of INR 1,93,806.

In Mokokchung, a total of 19 pre-litigation cases and one pending litigation (money suit) were disposed off with a total settlement amount of INR 28,55,427, while in Dimapur, 51 cases were disposed off with a settlement amount of INR 1,28,84,087.
In Mon, a total 11 cases were disposed with a settled amount of INR 25,62,375, while in Kohima, 27 cases relating to bank recovery, telephone bills and pending cases was settled. The total outstanding amount of INR 32,15,655 out of the total INR 52,72,072 was settled. The banks and telephone also waived around INR 20,56,417.
