Diphu, August 6 (EMN): ‘Arnavi’ drop packaged drinking water, local packaged water manufactured from Khatkhati Bongrum Bosti in Bokajan of Karbi Anglong was found infected with ants inside the 500 ml packaged water bottle on Sunday.
This was found by one of the shopkeeper in Zero point under Dillai police station. According to the information received, one Angtong Hanse had purchased six cartoons of Arnavi packaged water from wholesaler for his own shop.
While arranging the water bottle in his shop, among the six cartoons, one 500 ml packaged water bottle was found contaminated with ants.
“If this type of water is being served to the public in the market, Food and Civil Supplies department have to be vigilant in this regard. Finding ants inside the bottle is the sign of manufacturer negligence” questioned the individual.
This can be also regarded as the substandard maintenance of the ‘Arnavi’ manufacturer. The public has to be aware that many of the water package factories are not properly maintained which can be hazard for humans being.
