Kohima, May 30 (EMN): In a first of its kind in Nagaland, renowned artistes have come together for a cause to create awareness of acquiring set of values for environmental protection, appreciate nature and love mother earth through a music video.
The music video titled ‘Contemplation’ scheduled to be released on June 5 at Jubilee Memorial Centre in Kohima at 4 pm is a project of Powerfaith Ministry called Creation Care which is being produced in support with Incessant Welfare Society of Dimapur.
Addressing media persons on Wednesday morning at Symphony Café in Kohima, Lipokzulu said the proposed project is a modest effort to present issues and problems related to the environment and to provide ideas on how small steps taken everyday towards caring environment can have a huge impact in curbing the issue on environment deterioration.
Creation Care, a one-time project of Powerfaith Ministry, he said has composed a song based on the theme and produced into a music video featuring various musicians and prominent people to convey the theme related message.
‘Contemplation’ will feature prominent musicians namely Mercy Tetseo, Mhesave Tetseo, Mengu Suokhrie, Tali Angh, Imtisenla, Alobo Naga, Kuvelu Tetseo, Obed Kath Mar Jamir, Bendangmoa and Nash Longkumer.
Observing that Nagas are failing to respect and protect the mother earth through careless behaviours, Lipok said through Creation care it aims in disseminating the message to sensitise the people in a small way through a music video at harnessing support for the cause from musicians, intellectuals, civil society etc.
The music video will be released in YouTube to reach out to both local and global audience and the ministry was optimistic that through the video it can instill in the minds of the people the knowledge and attitude that can contribute to pro-environmental behaviour, civilizing people in terms of use and abuse of our surroundings and build stewardship concept.
It was hopeful of creating an acceptance of recycle concept, stewardship of public land, knowledge on the importance of water conservation and help people to be minimalist.
Members of the ministry Pastor Temjen Sempo, Chipanger, Lipokzulu, Tiarenla Jamir and Sentiyabang were present during the press conference.
Powerfaith Ministry was established way back in Jan. 19 2003 by a group of young Christians in Kohima with its primary focus to reach out to young people through music. Subsequently, Powerfaith band was formed comprising of likeminded people with the vision to touch lives with positive music.
Besides its pulpit ministry, reaching out to schools and colleges, Powerfaith Ministry has organized youth camps across the state imparting biblical knowledge and Christian values.
