ENHULUMI — The Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) unit of Enhulumi village under the 17th Chizami Assembly Constituency has joined the Naga People’s Front (NPF) en masse, extending unconditional support to Minister for Power, Parliamentary Affairs and NPF Chief Whip KG Kenye.
The decision was announced during a programme organised to welcome the LJP (RV) unit into the NPF at the Enhulumi village community hall on Tuesday.
Addressing the gathering, Kenye described the development as a “very happy occasion” for the NPF, particularly for the party’s 17 Chizami AC unit. He said the LJP (RV) had emerged as the largest group of electors in Enhulumi during the 2023 general election, securing around 55% of the votes, while the NPF was the second-largest group.
With the LJP (RV) unit now joining the NPF, Kenye said the party could confidently claim an absolute majority in the village. He welcomed the new members and expressed hope that more friends, well-wishers and supporters would join the party in the days ahead.
NPF CEB secretary Cisayi Lohe welcomed the decision, saying the move would strengthen the party at the grassroots level. He said the NPF stands for Naga identity and aspirations and remains committed to resolving the protracted Naga political issue.

They also pledged to work towards strengthening the party, its grassroots organisation and leadership ahead of the next election.
LJP (RV) advisor Wekhrolo Lohe formally declared that the Enhulumi unit would join the NPF with effect from Tuesday.
NPF Phek division president Chubutse Naro welcomed the members on behalf of the party and acknowledged the unit for extending its support to the NPF.
The programme was led by NPF vice president of the Assembly Constituency Welhipe Chiero. NPF Enhulumi village unit president Lhionyi Puro delivered the welcome address, while treasurer Neikute Elah proposed the vote of thanks.
