Music And Creative Arts Alliance (MACAA) is presenting a live concert featuring well known local artistes on Dec. 4 from 5 pm onwards at RCEMPA Jostsoma.
This was announced by the recently launched team MACAA at a press conference held on Nov. 27 afternoon at Dream Cafe, Kohima. This live concert will be the first event of the team, which compromises of five-member team from various professional background.
The team informed that the live concert will feature popular local artistes from the state viz. Divine Connection, Abiogenesis, DGP Band, Mengu Suokhrie, Moko Koza and Mengu Ngukha.
Giving a brief background of MACAA, one of team members said its primary objective is to promote music, dance, theatre plays, visual arts and fine arts with a focus to encourage and promote local artistes.
With all the Hornbill Festival musical events shifted to Dimapur, the team hopes that this concert will entertain the people of Kohima.
The team said they are trying to manage the concert all by itself with no help and support from any government departments and agencies. Though it has requested help from some few departments, there has been no positive response from any.
The team said all the proceeds from the sale of the tickets will be given back to the performing artistes, which is priced at Rs. 1000/- as donor admitting one person with showtime refreshments and dinner with the artistes after the concert.
The other category of the tickets are priced at Rs. 500/- admit two person and Rs. 300/- admit one person.
The tickets are available for sale at Cafe Aurora at Razhii Point; Fifa Cafe, opposite Oking Hospital; Dream Cafe; D’Cafe, Jail Colony; Hidesign, High School junction; Chromatic Clef, Kenuozou and Musicians Studio, Music Planet and Art, and Krank Hub at PR Hill.
Members of MACAA has requested all to come forward and extend helping hand towards promoting the local artistes.
