Rhythm of Love
Music is a way we can belt, hook on to that influence and we feel music with our entire feelings. With Rhythm of Love Eastern Mirror connects our readers to music in conversation with artists as they share their experience with their love ……. music.
Music moves us, opens our emotions passing all barriers. Music is a piece that we all can connect with so Readers get connected with your favorite artists with the Rhythm of Love.
On Fridays, Eastern Mirror will feature Artists/bands from the state and outside while promoting MUSIC-the present craze of the state.
Eastern Mirror: Tell us a bit about you met and the creation of your band.
Avancer: It was back in the year 2008, the Nagarjan Ao fellowship church organized a gospel beat contest where we participated for the first time and eventually won the title and from that moment onwards we took our music seriously and that’s how Avancer started and surprisingly 7 years down the line, we are still here. Hahahaha…..
EM: How best would you describe your music to all people who are new to Avancer?
Avancer: We consider ourselves as an experimental rock band but (ughhh....) when people listen to our music they have their own definition of genres about us... we don’t play only one specific genre but we tend to open ourselves to various types of music.
EM: How have you found the response for your music? Is there any area where your band needs to polish?
Avancer: Well so far we have released only two singles titled “The Trip” and “Take Me Away” which are both available on Indihut.com and the response has been good till now.
EM: Do you think it is more complicated for groups to succeed in the industry?
Avancer: Yes, it is actually. It needs lot of commitment, morality, finance, dedication, encouragement, corporation and the list goes on. But we try not to think about it... what we do and what we are doing as a band is all for the love of music .. :)
EM: What is the chemistry like among you all? Do you have clashes when it comes to your different taste for music genre?
Avancer: We are more like brothers than colleagues.. all of us..we are friends since our childhood days and our music taste are all the same. And talking about the clashes, that is for us to keep (hehehe….)
EM: Do you have definite aims and goals with your career in music? How far would you like to take your band?
Avancer: We have gone as far as we can and now it all depends on the economy of the state and the level of appreciation of art by the people of Nagaland so that we can elevate our status of music.
EM: Where do you draw inspiration for your work?
To be honest we do not draw any inspiration from anything as such but we have fun making music together, just spending time with our instruments and since we all share the same common interest we end up making music which lighten up our moods and yes, going back to the question about describing our music..ummmm we make jolly music with a slight touch of nostalgia. If you skim through our lyrics you’ll understand what we are trying to say.
Thinking back about the times when we used to spend hours and hours together in a 5 by 7 room without the proper instruments and equipments not to mention without a proper ceiling fan but brushing off all those the joyous moment is and will be we are still together though we had our fair share of hitches, yes that’s about it cheeersss!!!!
You can expect more music..we are musicians and as musicians we are all about music :)
